SPECIAL FISH DISH AND RED CHILLI CHUTNEY

TODAY I AM GOING TO SHARE A DISH FROM MIZORAM BUT BEFORE THAT I AM GOING TO SHARE SOME THINGS ABOUT MIZORAM.

MIZORAM IS A STATE OF INDIA AND THE CAPITAL CITY OF MIZORAM IS AIZWAL. MIZORAM IS ONE OF THE SEVEN SISTER STATE. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO VISIT WITH BEAUTIFUL HILLS AND AMAZING PEOPLE. THE PEOPLE OF MIZORAM ARE VERY AMAZING AND VERY MUCH CARING. THERE IS A NATIONAL PARK NAMED MURLEN NATIONAL PARK WITH A VARIETY OF ANIMALS. IT HAS ONE OF THE HIGHEST LITERACY RATE.THE LANGUAGES WHICH ARE SPOKEN IN MIZORAM ARE MIZO, ENGLISH, AND HINDI.

MY GRANDPARENTS STAYED THEIR FOR LONG 27 YEARS AND MY GRANDFATHER USED TO TRAVEL ALTHRIUGH THE MIZORAM FOR WORK AND HE USED TO EAT WHILE TRAVELLING. HE ALSO TRAVELLED ALTHROUGH THE SEVEN SISTERS OF STATES. WE STILL DATE HAVE THIS DISH BECAUSE IT IS HEALTHY AND HAVE THE TASTE OF MIZORAM. A TRIVIA WHEN YOU HAVE BOILED FISH YOU GET ALL THE NUTRIENTS OF THE FISH AND ALSO YOU CAN HAVE IT WHEN YOU ARE SICK OR NOT FEELING WELL.

WE SHOULD NOT FORGET ABOUT THE FOOD THAT IS FOUND IN MIZORAM. IT IS AMAZING AND HEALTHY.  WE ARE GOING TO TALK ABOUT SUCH A DISH ONLY AND I AM GOING TO SHARE THE RECIPE OF ONE OF THE VILLAGE FOODS. THIS IS A FOOD THAT PEOPLE OF MIZORAM HAVE DURING LUNCH/ DINNER WITH FISH AND MEAT. THE DISH IS VERY SIMPLE AND CAN BE MADE WITH LITERALLY NOTHING YOU JUST NEED FISH OR MEAT;


 YOU NEED WATER AND THAT’S IT. THIS DISH IS SERVED WITH A MIZO DRY RED CHILLI CHUTNEY. IF YOU WANT YOU CAN MAKE A SALAD WITH IT.

INGREDIENTS FOR THE MIZO BOILED FISH

1. FISH (YOU CAN TAKE ANY BUT I HAVE TAKE A COMMON CARP)

2. WATER

3. AGINAMOTO

HOW TO COOK / PREPARATION

1. CLEAN THE FISH PROPERLY AND REMOVE THE SCALES OF THE FISH PROPERLY.

2. ADD WATER TO A COOKING POT ACCORDING TO HOW YOU WANT TO KEEP THE STOCK.

3. THEN ADD THE FISH IN THE WATER.

4. BOIL THE FISH UNTIL IT’S READY.

5. THEN ADD 2-3 CUBES OF AGINAMOTO IF YOU WANT TO INCREASE THE TASTE IT IS NOT NECESSARY.

6. THEN YOUR DISH IS READY.

INGREDIENTS FOR MIZO RED CHILLI CHUTNEY

1. RED DRY CHILLI 2 – 3

2. SALT

HOW TO COOK / PREPARATION

1. FIRST FRY THE DRY RED CHILLI FOR SOME TIME.

2. THEN TAKE IT OUT AND CRUSH THE DRY RED CHILLI WITH SALT AND YOUR CHUTNEY IS READY.

INGREDIENTS FOR THE SALAD

1. ONE ONION

2. ONE TOMATO

3. ONE CARROT

4. ONE CUCUMBER

5. TWO TBSP OF VEG MAYONISE

6. TWO TSP OF SALT

HOW TO COOK / PREPARATION

1. WASH THE VEGETABLES THOROUGHLY.

2. CUT THE VEGETABLES IN SMALL SLICES AND MIX ALL OF THEM.

3. THEN ADD TWO TSP OF SALT AND TWO TBSP OF VEG MAYONISE WITH IT AND ENJOY WITH ALL OF THEM.

   BEST SERVED WITH PLAIN WHITE RICE.
